    About

The Clipper Gallery is a contemporary fine arts gallery that displays the work of visual artists, photographers and artisans from Nova Scotia, with an emphasis on the Eastern Shore.

The gallery features the work of East Petpeswick painter Ken Vaughan, gallery proprietor.

Ken Vaughan was born in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, in 1953. He began painting after receiving an art award (a wooden box of oil paints) in Grade 7.

He spent most of his career as a public librarian in Regina before retiring and moving back to Nova Scotia in 2010. He also attended the Alberta College of Art in Calgary and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax. He currently lives in East Petpeswick, a few minutes from beautiful Martinique Beach Provincial Park.
